Flagler Closes More Than 2.25 Million Square Feet of Transactions in Second Quarter 2010

Flagler recently announced it closed 1,264,068 square feet of new and renewed lease transactions and 993,467 square feet of property sales in the second quarter of 2010 throughout the state of Florida. Flagler’s second quarter figures bring the company’s year-to-date total to more than 3.2 million square feet of closed lease and sale transactions. Here’s what Flagler President and CEO Jose Hevia said about the uptick in transactions:

“Flagler closed approximately 4.4 million in leases and sales during 2009 and we are close to surpassing that number during the first half of 2010 alone, an indication that the commercial real estate market is experiencing steady growth within the state.”

Karl Hanson, Flagler Vice President & Market Officer, North Florida, added:

“Here in the Jacksonville marketplace, the office and industrial markets are stabilizing, and we’ve started to see an uptick in activity across our portfolio. It’s a tribute to our well positioned assets that boast world-class professional environments with ample amenities, coupled with our veteran team of brokers who excel in finding the right space solutions to meet each tenant’s specialized needs and requirements.”

The top five transaction highlights from the second quarter of 2010 in the Jacksonville market include:

  • MYEC, LLC renewed its lease for 7,386 square feet of office space at Deerwood North 100. Gary Cox, Flagler’s Director of Leasing, represented the landlord, Flagler.
  • V-Blox Corporation renewed its lease for 5,535 square feet of industrial space at Jacksonville International Tradeport TDC II. Gary Cox, Flagler’s Director of Leasing, represented the landlord, Flagler.
  • Nangwik Services, LLC leased 4,952 square feet of office space at Gran Park at the Avenues Building 100. Gary Cox, Flagler’s Director of Leasing, represented the landlord, Flagler.
  • Rolland DelValle & Bradley Inc. renewed its lease for 4,467 square feet of office space at Dupont Center. Gary Cox, Flagler’s Director of Leasing, represented the landlord, Flagler.
  • Wheeler & Associates CPA leased 1,783 square feet of office space at Gran Park at the Avenues Building 200. Ross Carrier, Flagler’s Director of Leasing, represented the landlord, Flagler.
