August 31st, 2010 · Leave a Comment

Florida Forum is back and this year’s event will feature world-renowned figures President Bill Clinton, best-selling author and humanitarian Greg Mortenson and President George W. Bush. The Women’s Board of Wolfson Children’s Hospital sponsors the Florida Forum each year to increase awareness of the hospital’s mission of caring for the specialized health needs of children and to raise much-needed funds for its programs.

The series opens on Oct. 19 with the founder of the William J. Clinton Foundation and 42nd president of the United States, Bill Clinton. Greg Mortenson will follow on Jan. 21, 2011. Mortenson established more than 131 schools in ruggedly remote and volatile regions of Pakistan and Afghanistan. Mortenson is also the best-selling author of Three Cups of Tea and Stones Into Schools, Promoting Peace with Books Not Bombs in Afghanistan and Pakistan. The series concludes with the 43rd president of the U.S. President George W. Bush on March 1.

All speaking events will be held at the Florida Times-Union Center and the funds raised by the Florida Forum will benefit the new state-of-the-art Behavioral Health Unit at Wolfson Children’s Hospital and the purchase of a Kids Kare Ambulance. Presenting sponsors include Landstar, BlueCross BlueShield and Wachovia, a Wells Fargo Company. Several levels of subscription packages are available. For tickets and additional information, contact The Women’s Board office at (904) 202-2886 or visit www.thefloridaforum.com.

We hope to see you at these fascinating presentations that support a most worthwhile cause!
