Jacksonville’s Financial News & Daily Record reported in September that container cargo through JaxPort could triple by 2035 and nearly 14,000 new jobs could be created, providing a possible regional economic impact of more than $850 million per year if $684.2 million is spent to deepen JaxPort’s shipping channel.
