Get Your Networking on in December

As the year comes to a close there are several local organizations offering exciting programs and networking opportunities. We put together a brief overview of a few upcoming events you can’t afford to miss! 

 

A Vision for Jacksonville, presented by the Urban Land Institute and the USGBC North Florida

  • Wednesday, Dec. 8 from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the Crown Plaza Hotel. The program will highlight the City of Jacksonville’s plan to develop visions for the Urban Core, Greater Arlington/Beaches area, Southeast region, plus a future land use plan for the entire city. The vision plans, together with the Future Land Use Plan, provide a blueprint for future development. The vision includes strategies for enhancing quality of life by addressing neighborhood preservation, industrial preservation and green infrastructure. Northeast Florida Builders Association (NEFBA) and Sales and Marketing Council Holiday Breakfast

  • Friday, Dec. 10 from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at UNF University Center featuring the SMC teddy bear collection for the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, toys for daniel drive and NEFBA holiday auction. The auction will begin at 8 a.m. Tickets are $15 for SMC Members and $25 for guests. Prices increase at the door without reservation. Please R.S.V.P. by today to Sarah Lane at [email protected].

Master Speakers Luncheon:  Greening Downtown presented by the USGBC of North Florida

  • Thursday, Dec. 16, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Maggiano’s Little Italy in the St. Johns Town Center, join Terry Lorince, executive director, Downtown Vision for a discussion of what makes a downtown environment inherently green, what the opportunities and challenges are and what Downtown Vision is doing to help encourage sustainability in Downtown Jacksonville. Cost is $30 for USGBCNF members, $40  for non-members and $15  for students. Register Online or contact  Sonja Curcic with any questions at [email protected].
