The 2011 International Builder’s Show (IBS) took place in Orlando last week and it was another stand out event with more than 50,000 in attendance. Each year the National Association of Homebuilders(NAHB) hosts IBS to highlight the latest in building innovation and industry news.

An important piece of the event features economists who deliver their forecasts on the industry for the coming year as part of the NAHB annual meeting. According to a recent Wall Street Journal article, these economists reported they expect the troubled residential market to begin picking up in 2011 with low mortgage rates and bargain home prices boosting sales in the spring selling season.
