Greenpointe Homes Welcomes 50th Resident to Cedar Bay Community

September 11th, 2013 · Leave a Comment

Moving day in late August was very special for the Johnston family – Tony, Skye, their four children and furry family mascot King the Great Dane. Having lived in base housing at Mayport Jacksonville, the Johnstons were thrilled to have a community, yard and brand-new home to call their own at last! This momentous day was also very special for the team at residential homebuilder GreenPointe Homes, as they celebrated their 50th resident family in the fast-growing community of Cedar Bay.

Located along the scenic Broward River near North Main Street and Heckscher Drive, Cedar Bay is an intimate neighborhood with picturesque river views, spacious homes and a vibrant, active community life.

“We absolutely love our home in Cedar Bay, and it is much larger than we ever imagined being able to buy,” said Skye Johnston. “We spend a lot of time at the community park, which overlooks the river and has a great playground for the kids. We are already getting to know our neighbors, and on a typical afternoon, there are many families out in our cul-de-sac playing games and socializing.

The Johnstons chose the Emerald floor plan, one of five floor plans offered in the community. Their home has four bedrooms and three-and-a half bathrooms, a generous loft, which they will use for an entertainment area, and a private office. The home is perfect, they say, for life with four children ranging in age from 4 to 12. The icing on the cake is a teen suite, with a separate bathroom, on the home’s first level.

Cedar Bay currently has 45 homes under construction, several of which are complete and ready for immediate occupancy. All GreenPointe Homes residences are equipped with a number of energy-efficient features as part of the company’s Intelligent Green building program.

When completed, Cedar Bay will house 153 families. The community is located in North Jacksonville, is convenient to River City Marketplace and Jacksonville International Airport and is just minutes from downtown Jacksonville. North Jacksonville is a fast-growing area of the city, as residents discover its convenience to major employers, shopping opportunities and numerous natural amenities – including the beautiful Broward River.
