A growth workshop has been scheduled for Tuesday, August 25, at 9 a.m., at the Northeast Florida Regional Airport (4900 US Highway 1, North, St. Augustine, Fla. 32095) by the St. Johns County Commission.

The Commission’s growth policy will be discussed at the meeting in light of the County’s projected budget deficit.

Some of the proposals may include placing a moratorium on Comprehensive Plan Amendments; limiting growth geographically to areas of the County north of the Outer Beltway or some other line; increasing impact fees; raising other fees; and the like.  The Northeast Florida Builders Association (NEFBA) encourages members of the development community to attend the meeting to ensure that the rights of landowners are represented to the Commissioners.
