HabiJax to Open Second ReStore in Jacksonville

April 15th, 2017 · Leave a Comment

Habitat for Humanity of Jacksonville (HabiJax) will celebrate the opening of its second ReStore at 6260 103rd St. in West Jacksonville with a grand opening event on Saturday, April 22, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

With more than 28,000 square feet of floor space, this new store is Jacksonville’s newest home improvement retail outlet to sell new and refurbished building materials to the public at less than retail prices.  HabiJax opened its first ReStore in May 2008 at 5800 Beach Blvd., just west of University Boulevard.

Habitat for Humanity ReStores are retail outlets that sell appliances, building supplies, furniture and other home-improvement products. Much of the inventory is donated by manufacturers, distributors, stores, contractors and individuals. The ReStores offer bargains for buyers while keeping tons of items from ending up in the landfill. All sale proceeds go back to HabiJax to help fund the organization in providing high-quality, affordable homeownership opportunities to Jacksonville families.
