Happy 4th of July Jacksonville!

Happy Birthday America and Happy 4th of July Jacksonville! Fireworks and celebrations will be in order this weekend around the First Coast. In the spirit of the holiday, we’ve put together a list of events to keep you entertained this weekend. Have fun and stay safe!

  • Downtown Jacksonville Riverfront will celebrate the 4th of July on Sunday with a fireworks display over the St. Johns River. The Fireworks Spectacular Show will begin at 9:45 p.m. with river barges located in front of The Jacksonville Landing and the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront Hotel. Fireworks can be viewed from the Northbank and Southbank of the river and will be choreographed to a patriotic soundtrack.
  • Stars and Stripes Freedom Festival in Fernandina Beach will kick off Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Centre Street with music, contests, food and fun. A parade will take place on Sunday at 7 p.m. on Centre Street with a concert and fireworks from the harbor marina.
  • Weekend Celebration at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The event will include live music, a water slide, games and giveaways.
  • Hometown Celebration will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and noon to 10 p.m. on Sunday at Spring Park in Green Cove Springs. The event includes car, truck and bike shows, a health zone, blood drive, crafts, a kids’ zone and fireworks starting at 9 p.m.
  • Middleburg Independence Day parade starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Middleburg. A festival will follow at 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in downtown Middleburg.
  • The Spirit of Liberty Celebration from 4 to 10 p.m. Sunday at the SeaWalk Pavilion in Jacksonville Beach. The event includes live music, a children’s area and fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
  • St. Augustine Celebration from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Plaza de la Constitucion at the foot of the Bridge of Lions. The celebration will include music by the All Star Orchestra and fireworks 9:30 p.m. over Matanzas Bay.
  • “Deck”laration Party from 7 to 11:30 p.m. Sunday at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront. The event includes live entertainment and a view of the city’s fireworks for $20, Hyatt guests $10.
  • Jacksonville Suns vs. Mobile BayBears game Sunday at 7:05 p.m. at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. Features Mr. Bragan’s 87th birthday celebration and fireworks following the game.
