With THE PLAYERS Championship a mere eight days away, here are some of the great opportunities for the whole family before the tournament begins!

Shuttles from downtown Jacksonville.  The City of Jacksonville will provide shuttles from downtown-area hotels to TPC Sawgrass for THE PLAYERS, Wednesday through Sunday of tournament week.  Shuttles from the Hyatt, Omni, Crowne Plaza and Wyndham will be available to hotel guests, but also open for residents to “park and ride,” providing a convenient and cost-effective way for fans to get to and from the tournament.

Shuttles will operate Wednesday through Sunday leaving the hotels at 8 a.m., 10 a.m., 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. Shuttles will return to the hotels each day leaving TPC Sawgrass at 1 p.m., 3 p.m., and 6:30 p.m. The drop-off/pick-up location will be at “Shuttle Row” at the Davis Love III Gate.  Fans can access the shuttles by purchasing a shuttle pass at the hotel front desks for $10.

Tee Off Downtown, Friday, May 3, The Shipyards Downtown.  Join the fun with food, music and golf from 4 to 10:30 pm.  Challenge your friends in the long drive contest on a Trugolf simulator or a chipping contest on the “island green”.  Try delectable treats from food trucks and cash bars will be offered as well.  Seven Nations and the Dirty Guv’nahs will be performing for your listening pleasure.   For more information, click here.

THE PLAYERS 5K with Donna, Saturday, May 4, 6 am – 10 am, TPC Sawgrass, Stadium Course.  THE PLAYERS 5K with Donna presented by Nimnicht Family of Dealerships an event to raise funds to finish breast cancer! Runners and walkers of all levels are welcome to experience a behind-the-scenes 5K route through the beautiful PLAYERS Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass. Golf Digest Hot List Demo Day, Saturday, May 4, 9 am – 5 pm Hosted on the range at TPC Sawgrass, the same practice area where the pros warm-up, golf fans will be able to test some of the hottest and newest golf products currently on the market.

Military Job Fair, Sunday, May 5, noon to 3 pm, “The Turn” hospitality structure located between holes 9 and 18 on the Stadium course at TPC Sawgrass.  50 local companies are expected to participate and the job fair is open to active duty, retired and Reserve military members, military spouses and veterans.  For more information click here.
