Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce Launches Downtown Advertising Campaign to Promote 2011 Business Expo

Downtown Jacksonville is anticipated to be the next big growth spot for Northeast Florida.  The Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce has launched a month-long advertising campaign to promote the 2011 Business Expo and downtown revitalization.

“Starting or Growing a Business Downtown” is the focus of the expo scheduled for Wednesday, June 1, at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront.

The Chamber is hosting free informational sessions focused on downtown during the Business Expo, which will open at 2 p.m. with a panel discussion featuring entrepreneurs who started or moved their businesses downtown. The panelists include Vince McCormack, CEO of Perdue Office Interiors; Tony Allegretti, co-owner of the Burrito Gallery; and Bill Cesery, owner of the Haydon Burns Library. A tour of available downtown office spaces will follow the panel discussion at 3:30 p.m.

The following organizations will provide guidance on developing a business plan, financing options and other business start-up needs:

The Chamber Councils will host a Business After Hours networking event from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Business Expo, which is also an official stop of the June First Wednesday Downtown Art Walk.

Open to the public and free of charge, the Business Expo will provide attendees the opportunity to network with other business professionals and visit more than 75 exhibitor booths. Sponsorship opportunities and exhibitor booth space are available. We hope to seeing you there!
