Jacksonville Voted 3rd Best City for Work in National Ranking!

February 28th, 2011 · Leave a Comment

According to a recent national ranking of 50 U.S. cities, Jacksonville is the 3rd best city for work. Way to go Jacksonville!

CareerBliss, an online site that collects reviews of hundreds of cities and companies, ranked 50 cities based on eight categories: growth opportunities, compensation, benefits, work-life balance, career advancement, senior management, job security and whether workers would recommend the company to others.

The information and opinions were collected through reviews submitted by 40,000 people across the country and was not based purely on hard numbers. For example, a spokeswoman for CareerBliss said the salary ranking was determined by how happy employees were with their salary, rather than simply the salary itself. Though Jacksonville’s average salary of $55,532 is 44th out of 50, the city was 18th in satisfaction with salary.

The team here at WhatsUpJacksonville.com couldn’t be happier to work in a city full of satisfied employees. Keep up the good work Jacksonville!
