Mark your calendars for Thursday, Jan. 19. That’s when the JAX Chamber will recognize community business leaders and celebrate the region’s numerous successes when it hosts its 127th Annual Meeting, from 6 to 9 p.m., at The Florida Theatre in Downtown Jacksonville. More than 700 people are expected to attend.

The event’s theme, “Celebrate JAX,” complements the Chamber’s #ilovejax campaign on Twitter that started in 2011 and will continue throughout 2012. #ilovejax represents the ongoing conversation about the great things happening throughout the Northeast Florida region.

The annual meeting will include a memorial tribute to Bob Helms, Jack McCormack and Mark Hulsey, three individuals who exemplify the #ilovejax community spirit, enthusiasm and pride.

The Chamber will also announce the overall Small Business Leader of the Year award winner and introduce the Chamber’s 2012 Board of Directors during the annual meeting. The 2012 Chamber Chair is Tom Van Berkel, chairman and CEO of The Main Street America Group.

The annual meeting is presented by PRI Productions. Fidelity National Information Services is the platinum sponsor and The Main Street America Group is the “Small Business Leader of the Year” sponsor.
