The JAX Chamber Board of Directors recently selected Bank of America Jacksonville President Mark K. Bennett as the 2024 Chamber Chair.

Bennett now serves as Treasurer for the Board of Directors and on the Executive Committee.

The Chamber traditionally selects its chair more than a year in advance. In the role as Chair-elect next year, Bennett will lead the 2023 Leadership Trip. Bradley S. Talbert, CEO of HCA Florida Memorial Hospital, is Chair-elect this year and will serve as Chair of the Board of Directors in 2023.

Bennett joined Bank of America in 2003 and has held several leadership roles in business banking, including market executive roles through Florida and the Southeast. He is currently the Southeast region executive for business banking and leads the bank’s national Black and African American business owner initiative.

Bennett serves on the Communities in Schools Advisory Council, the Black Executive Leadership Council, the First Coast YMCA Board of Directors, the Jacksonville Civic Council Board of Directors and is the director for the board of the North Florida Association of Financial Professionals. He earned bachelor’s degrees in both management information systems and finance from Florida State University and a master’s degree in banking from the Pacific Coast Banking School at University of Washington.

The Board also announced on Friday that Cindy Stover, North Florida Market President for TD Bank, will serve as 2023 Chair of JAXUSA Partnership, the seven-county regional economic development division of the Chamber. The remainder of the 2023 JAX Chamber Board of Directors will be finalized later this year.
