The JAX Chamber Board of Directors has selected Memorial Hospital CEO Bradley S. Talbert, FACHE, as 2023 Chamber Chair.

Talbert has served as the chair of JAXUSA Partnership, the Chamber’s economic development arm, for the past two years. He has been active with the Chamber and JAXUSA since moving to Northeast Florida in 2017.

The Chamber traditionally selects its chair more than a year in advance. In the role as Chair-elect, Talbert will lead the 2022 Leadership Trip. Ray Driver, an attorney and partner of Driver, McAfee, Hawthorne and Diebenow, is Chair-elect this year and will serve as Chair of the Board of Directors in 2022.

Prior to moving to Jacksonville, Talbert was CEO of Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Talbert was named a South Carolina Economic Ambassador by then-Governor Nikki Haley in 2015 and was named one 40 Under 40 by the Charlotte Business Journal in 2017. He was named an Ultimate CEO by the Jacksonville Business Journal in 2019 and was recently named to Florida Trend’s Florida 500, highlighting the state’s most influential business leaders.

Talbert serves on the Jacksonville Civic Council, was recently appointed by Mayor Lenny Curry to serve on the JAXPORT Board of Directors, and is also on the University of North Florida Dean’s Council.

Originally from the Carolinas, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Finance at Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC, and his master’s degree in Health Administration at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC.

The remainder of the 2022 JAX Chamber Board of Directors will be finalized later this year.
