JAX Chamber Names Dr. Bridget Edkin of Sláinte Chiropractic as Small Business Leader of the Year

February 11th, 2021 · Leave a Comment

Dr. Bridget Edkin, chiropractor and owner of Sláinte Chiropractic, was named the 2021 JAX Chamber Overall Small Business Leader of the Year. Edkin is a third-generation chiropractor who opened her practice in Jacksonville Beach in 2017.

Sláinte Chiropractic, named after the Gaelic word meaning “to your health,” cares for nearly 300 patients per week using the Gonstead Technique, a comprehensive, analytical approach that attracts patients and chiropractors from across the country. Throughout its four years of operation, Sláinte Chiropractic has employed a team of 12 people who focus on caring for each patient without interfering with the body’s natural healing process.

Despite warnings from family and professors about the challenges of opening a practice, Dr. Edkin’s decided to take the leap and her practice has grown significantly since 2017. She has ambitions to open two more offices in Jacksonville.

The 12 Northeast Florida business leaders were selected as Small Business Leaders of the Year by the Chamber Councils, the Beaches Division and the Entrepreneurial Growth Division. Each of these business leaders competed for the JAX Chamber Overall Small Business Leader of the Year recognition. In addition to Edkin who represents the Beaches Division, the 2021 Small Business Leaders of the Year are:

  • Jon Hart, Hart SEO, Arlington Council
  • Jim Webb, Manifest Distilling, Downtown Council
  • Rochelle Stoddard, Berman Bros., Inc, Entrepreneurial Growth Division
  • Nemiah Rutledge, Body Paradox, Health Council
  • Wendy Norfleet, Norfleet Integrated Solutions, IT Council

The award, sponsored by TD Bank, was presented at the Small Business Breakfast held at Schultz Center. More information about the JAX Chamber is available at www.myjaxchamber.com.
