Jax Federal Credit Union Announces Promotion of Four Leadership Team Members

Jax Federal Credit Union announces the promotion of four of its leadership team members. Erik Airheart, Jill Thomas-Aviles, Joy Bing and Robert Griffin have recently taken on new responsibilities within the credit union, which serves more than 39,000 members across Northeast Florida.

Erik Airheart has been promoted to Vice President of Audit and Risk. He has been with Jax Federal Credit Union since 1997, and most recently served as the Director of Internal Audit. He is a graduate of the University of North Florida. Outside of the office, he has volunteered his service with events and organizations like Light the Night, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Florida and OneBlood.

Jill Thomas-Aviles has been promoted to Vice President of Operations and Digital Strategy. She has been with the Credit Union since 1998, and most recently served as the Vice President of Payments and Deposit Operations. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of North Florida, and her Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Thomas-Aviles serves as an Executive Committee Member for the credit union’s Light the Night team, and regularly volunteers with the Boy Scouts of America and Riverside High School. In 2021, she was selected as one of Credit Union Magazine’s “Credit Union Rock Stars.”

Joy Bing has been promoted to Vice President of Consumer Lending and Mortgage. She has been with Jax Federal Credit Union since 2018, and most recently served as Director of Lending Operations. She is a graduate of Georgia Perimeter College and is actively involved in her son’s school and Boy Scouts of America.

Robert Griffin has been promoted to Director of Retail Services. He has been with Jax Federal Credit Union since 2014, and most recently served as the Retail Operations Manager. He is a graduate of the Florida State College Jacksonville and is active in various community service initiatives in Jacksonville and Baker County.
