August 28th, 2018 · Leave a Comment

Families on the First Coast can celebrate Labor Day with a picnic at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville Monday, Sept. 3, when the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp host an all-you-can-eat picnic at their season finale, in appreciation for another outstanding season of support from the fans of Northeast Florida.

Individuals and families may now log onto tinyurl.com/jaxshrimpportal (password “shrimpfan”) to purchase Sept. 3 Labor Day Picnic packages that include reserved seats and the all-you-can-eat buffet in the third-base side Sea Best Shrimp Deck from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 3. A limited number of tickets are available for the picnic.

Normally only served to groups of 24 or more people, the picnic menu of all-you-can-eat hamburgers, hot dogs, barbecue chicken, cole slaw, beans, cookies, tea, lemonade and water, is available for individuals and families to purchase. Reservation space is limited. Packages are $15 per person and include access to the all-you-can-eat buffet and a reserved seat for the Jumbo Shrimp’s 2:05 p.m. game against the Mississippi Braves. Children ages 3 and under who do not require a seat do not need a ticket.

The Sept. 3 game is also VyStar Credit Union Charity Begins at Home, when VyStar Credit Union members can get a buy-3-get-1 free ticket special by showing their VyStar credit or debit card at the box office. Half-Price Yuengling Monday means 16-oz. Yuengling cans are half-price. Gates open at 1 p.m.
