Junior Achievement of North Florida has moved up in the national rankings for Junior Achievement USA.

The national statistics recently released now place JA of North Florida at number 21 out of 108 in student reach for the 2018-2019 school year, up two spaces from the previous year. It also puts JA of North Florida at number 16 for market share nationally, up three spaces from the prior school year.

JA of North Florida ranks 16 nationally in market share with 17.2 percent of the local market share which ranks number one for all of Florida. This means the organization was successful in reaching the largest number of students among all potential students. The number of students reached at the JA Financial Literacy Center in New Town also reached record highs with 6,125 students reached in a single year. The JA Financial Literacy Center is where third-grade students from throughout Duval county participate in the JA’s Our Community program and the JA Eating Healthy on a Budget program which includes a shopping trip to the Jacksonville Farmer’s Market.

JA of North Florida is currently looking for volunteers for the 2019-2020 school year. There are numerous opportunities throughout the year to assist in teaching financial literacy, entrepreneurship and workplace readiness to students, grades K through 12. Those interested in volunteering can sign up at janfl.org or call (904) 398-9944.
