Junior Achievement of North Florida’s Hall of Fame Luncheon will take place on Tuesday, May 10, beginning at noon, at the University of North Florida’s Adam W. Herbert University Center.

The organization’s largest annual fundraiser event helps the nonprofit fund its programs which inspire and prepare young people for success. Students from Spring Park Elementary will perform a skit, a young student will be singing the national anthem and the Police Explorers Honor Guard will be presenting the colors. The event will also include the recognition of outstanding individuals and businesses within the community.

The most prestigious award, the Thompson S. Baker “Solid ad a Rock” Award, will be presented to Richard Sisisky for his dedication to bettering the community through leadership, hands-on involvement and philanthropic deeds. Sisisky is the president of The Shircliff & Sisisky Company, a management consulting firm, and a partner with SilverSolutions Consulting LLC, a transportation and logistics consulting firm.

The Educator of the Year Award will be presented to Lieutenant Colonel William Liptrot, the ROTC officer in charge at William M. Raines High School. The Volunteer of the Year Award will go to Karen Blutcher from JEA and the Company of the Year award will be presented to Ernst & Young.

Also at the event, Charlie Kauffman will be inducted into JA of North Florida’s Hall of Fame. Kauffman, the regional vice president of middle market banking for Wells Fargo, has been an advocate for JA of North Florida for many years. He served on the board of directors from 2008 to 2021 and was board chair from 2014 to 2016.
