Last Chance to Register for ULI Meeting on Thursday!

June 22nd, 2010 · Leave a Comment

Time is running out to register for the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) Breakfast Series Meeting with Florida Department of Transportation Secretary Alan Mosley. The event will take place on Thursday, June 24, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the St. Joe Building in the Riverfront Conference Room (Lower Level).

Mosley will discuss the issues surrounding Public-Private-Projects, sometimes called P3s, which are the new hot button way to build major roads in Florida and could lead to toll roads in North Florida again.

Mosley was recently appointed as FDOT Secretary and is responsible for the day-to-day administrative, planning, production and operations activities for District Two, which encompasses 18 counties in North Central Florida.

ULI North Florida will also release a new report, “Connecting Florida: Transit and Florida’s Economy.”  The report examines the transit alternatives being built, planned or proposed in the state’s five major urban regions.

The event is open to members of ULI and the general public. The cost to attend is $25 for ULI members, $20 YLG members and $35 non-members. Register for the event today by calling (904) 486-8256 or visiting here.

If you want to know the trends in Florida transit, this event is the place to be!
