Leadership Jacksonville Announces 2016-2017 Board of Directors

Leadership Jacksonville, an organization that educates, connects and inspires diverse leaders to build and strengthen their communities, recently announced its new officers and members of its 2016-2017 board of directors.

Karen Mayfield

The Leadership Jacksonville Board of Directors is led by President Karen Mayfield, client advisor/senior vice president, SunTrust Bank. In addition to the election of Mayfield as board president, Leadership Jacksonville announced the election of the following officers to the board:

Mobeen Rathore

  • President-Elect – Mobeen Rathore, M.D., professor and Chief of Pediatrics/Infectious Diseases, UF CARES/University of Florida
  • Secretary/Treasurer – Clark Robertson, Vice President/Chemicals, CSX Transportation, Inc.
  • Immediate Past President – Charles Hedrick, Partner, Foley & Lardner LLP

“Leadership Jacksonville is the catalyst for vibrant, connected communities where diverse perspectives are valued and encouraged for the greater good,” said Mayfield. “In that spirit, I look forward to working with the Board to further the mission and vision of Leadership Jacksonville.”

New members of the Leadership Jacksonville board are:

  • Michelle Cook, Chief, Personnel and Professional Standards, Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office
  • Robert Harris, Managing Partner, Harris Guidi Rosner Dunlap Rahaim, P.A.
  • Chantelle Quick, Senior Director, Audit Services Group, Stein Mart, Inc.
  • Kyle Reese, Senior Pastor, Hendricks Avenue Baptist Church
  • Jason Spencer, Relationship Manager, Wells Fargo

“The diverse members of our board of directors are active in the community and inspirational leaders in their respective industries,” said Leadership Jacksonville Chief Executive Officer Jill Langford Dame. “With the guidance of our board, we anticipate a successful and productive year of developing youth and adult leaders throughout the First Coast.”
