Leadership Jacksonville, an organization that develops youth and adult leaders in Northeast Florida, will host its Celebration 2014 fundraiser and honor three important community trustees at the annual event April 17.

The 37-year-old organization will hold the event, beginning at 6 p.m., at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront, where it will celebrate important contributions to Northeast Florida by Toni Crawford, William C. Mason and Isabelle Owen Spence.

“At this important event Leadership Jacksonville raises money for our youth programs, Youth Leadership Jacksonville and Collegiate Leadership Experience, so that we can continue to develop future trustees,” said Jill Langford Dame, Executive Director of Leadership Jacksonville. “It’s also a time when we look back to honor those who have done so much to improve our community over the years.”

Crawford has been a major force in early learning, having served as chair of the Jacksonville Children’s Commission and chair of the Duval County Early Learning Coalition. She is an inaugural member of the Florida Children and Youth Cabinet, and serves on the State Advisory Council for Early Learning.

Mason, Ed. D., led Baptist Medical Center and Baptist Health in Jacksonville for more than 20 years. He has served as chairman of the JAX Chamber, JAXPORT, Jacksonville Community Council, Inc. (JCCI), and the Florida Hospital Association.

Spence served as Leadership Jacksonville’s executive director from 2001-2013. She is currently serving as vice chair of the Board of Trustees of Memorial Hospital and is a member of the Women’s Giving Alliance and the Jacksonville Women’s Network.

Tickets to Celebration 2014 are $150 per person and can be purchased along with sponsorships online at www.leadershipjax.org or by calling (904) 396-6263.
