LifeSouth Community Blood Centers invites the community to join the celebration of World Blood Donor Day on June 14.

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., LifeSouth will host an open house celebration at its Baymeadows Way donor center, filled with music, kids activities, free food, raffles, donor gifts, tours of the center and more. Attendees are invited to donate the gift of life while enjoying all the festivities.

Transfusions of blood and blood parts save millions of lives each year. LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is proud to serve as the nonprofit community blood bank for Jacksonville with two donor centers and two bloodmobiles, which provide blood to local hospitals. Without the selflessness of life-giving donors, this work would not be possible.
