LifeSouth is offering a special promotion this holiday season for all donors.

The “Don’t Be a Grinch” Blood Drive is an opportunity to give the gift of life to those in the First Coast community in need. All donors who give blood at a LifeSouth Community Blood Center or at a mobile blood drive now through January 8 will receive a $25 e-gift card that can be used at hundreds of major retailers and restaurants. If a donor gives a double red cell donation or a platelet donation, they will also receive an additional $20 e-gift card for their generosity.

Northeast Florida has been facing a recent COVID-19 surge in conjunction with the flu season, as well as a critical blood supply shortage that continues to affect the entire nation. Donating blood is essential for hospitals to provide life-saving services this holiday season. LifeSouth supplies blood to 70% of Northeast Florida’s hospital beds serving many regional hospitals, including Baptist Medical Center Beaches, Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville, Baptist Medical Center Nassau, Baptist Medical Center South, HCA Florida Memorial Hospital, HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital, UF Health Jacksonville, UF Health North and Wolfson Children’s Hospital.
