Manormor Sotheby’s International Realty Launches The M Group, New Homes and Land Sales Division

Manormor Sotheby’s International Realty, the Northeast Florida franchise of Sotheby’s International Realty, announces the launch of The M Group, a new homes and land division. Backed by the experience and quality of Manormor Sotheby’s International Realty, The M Group will specialize in sales and marketing of upper-tier neighborhoods and multi-family communities in Northeast Florida. The group is headed by Michael Bugg, formerly of Lifestyles Realtors in Jacksonville and Atlanta’s Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty in Atlanta, and Christopher Jones, formerly of the Renaissance Group in Jacksonville.

“We are excited to bring together Mike’s real estate experience and Chris’ development knowledge with the power of the Sotheby’s International Realty brand behind them,” said Jeffrey Chefan, principal of Manormor Sotheby’s International Realty. “As a team, they will help developers succeed in marketing and driving sales to their single-family home communities, condo projects and other residential developments.”

Bugg, who recently returned to Northeast Florida, has more than 20 years of experience in the real estate industry in Atlanta and Jacksonville. In 1993, he founded The Condo Store (TCS) in Atlanta, which was the first of its kind specializing in resale as well as new home sales. In 2001, Bugg opened Lifestyles Realtors in Jacksonville, which grew to be the fourth largest real estate company in North Florida in only five years. Bugg was recruited by Atlanta’s Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty in 2008 to begin a New Homes Division in Atlanta and by 2010, his team had a half billion dollars in listings representing such prestigious communities as The Residences at The St. Regis and The Mandarin Oriental.

“I am excited to be back in Jacksonville to help launch a new division of Manormor Sotheby’s International Realty homes and land sales in a place that is very much home to me,” said Bugg. “There is no project too big or small for us to take on and I look forward to working with the Northeast Florida’s Realtors, developers and home builders again to help them meet and exceed their sales goals.”

Jones, a Jacksonville native, has more than 10 years of commercial and residential real estate experience as a partner in his family owned and operated real estate development and construction firm, the Renaissance Group. He brings knowledge and experience in land transactions, entitlement and real estate development processes, along with an architectural eye and understanding of fine and unique properties to Manormor Sotheby’s International Realty. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute, International Council of Shopping Centers, Northeast Florida Association of Realtors, and is an alumni of Leadership Jacksonville. Prior to his success in real estate and development, Jones held several positions at Fannie Mae when it was the largest non-bank financial services company in the world.

“The residential real estate industry in Northeast Florida has reawakened and the need for dedicated sales and marketing services for single-family communities and multi-family housing will continue to grow exponentially,” Jones said. “The unique combination of real estate and development experience that Mike and I share makes us a dynamic and unmatched team in this market.”

Bugg and Jones are based at the Manormor Sotheby’s International Realty San Jose Boulevard office and will service all of Northeast Florida. For more information, call (904) 731-9770 or visit www.manormorsir.com.
