Monique Burr Foundation Raises $170,000 at Jinglebells ProAm Golf Tournament

World-renowned golf celebrities and local teams recently teed up to raise more than $170,000 at the 14th Annual Monique Burr Foundation for Children, Inc.’s Jinglebells ProAm Golf Tournament. Presented by AT&T and Your Jacksonville Area Lexus Dealers at The Golf Club at South Hampton, the premier charity golf tournament featured 20 golf pros from the PGA TOUR, Champions Tour, Nationwide Tour and LPGA TOUR professionals alongside 76 Northeast Florida golfers.

Nearly 150 people were in attendance for the awards ceremony at the tournament’s conclusion, including this year’s tournament honorary chairs and golf legends Mark McCumber and Jim Fuyrk. The tournament winners were:

  • 1st place gross: Team Club Car – Bill Gordon, David Davis, Danny Eckles and Tom Bergman with golf pro Steve Wheatcroft
  • 2nd place gross: Team Jacobsen – Troy Murray, Bob Coffey, Tim Lyons and Walt McMahon with golf pro Jim Furyk
  • 3rd place gross: Team Lexus – Jason Burhyte, Mark Clark, Gary Reed and Hollis Richardson with golf pro Mark Carnevale
  • 1st place net: Team Pepsi – David Biscan, Charles Albertie, Tom Murphy and Darold Cole with golf pro Major Manning
  • 2nd place net: Team C Robinson Associates – Bob Turknett, Barbara Haskins, Kevin O’Neill and Thoman Cunnigham with golf pro Frank Lickliter II
  • 3rd place net: Team First Coast News – Glenn Seabold, Mike Garber, Sam Foley and Mark Overstreet with golf pro Bubba Dickerson
  • Four closest to the pin awards were presented to Tim Lyons, Kevin O’Neill, Gary Reed and Mark Weis. Garrison Burr received the award for longest putt.
