NAIOP Endorses Wyman Duggan for Florida State Senate Race

March 8th, 2012 · 1 Comment

NAIOP of Northeast Florida, the region’s commercial real estate authority and trade association, announces its endorsement of Wyman Duggan in his run for Florida State Senate. Duggan is the Vice President of Public Affairs for NAIOP of Northeast Florida and a shareholder at Rogers Towers Law Firm, where he is the chair of the firm’s Governmental and Regulatory Law Department. Republican Duggan recently filed for the Florida State Senate District 4, which under the statewide redistricting process will most likely include Nassau County and much of Duval County.

“Wyman’s knowledge and understanding of governmental and regulatory law is extremely impressive and NAIOP believes he will be an influential voice for Northeast Florida if he is elected as a state senator,” said Gordon Steadman, 2012 NAIOP of Northeast Florida Chapter president. “Our organization fully endorses Wyman in his campaign, and we encourage our members and the general public to learn more about his qualifications and views on issues that affect all residents and businesses in Northeast Florida.”

“It is humbling to be endorsed by so many people for whom I have such a deep and abiding respect. The leaders of NAIOP care deeply about our community and understand that we need a new vision to solve the challenges our state faces,” Duggan said. “I am a father and business attorney and not a career politician. That is the perspective that I will bring to Tallahassee.”

Duggan was recently recognized by NAIOP at its Annual Awards & Celebration event with a Distinguished Service Award. The award recognized Duggan for his accomplishments at the local, state and national levels of government where he worked on legislative issues affecting the commercial real estate sector. We received a pledge card in the mail today. We are a bit confused; are you running for US FL house District 15 –near Tampa– or maybe FL senate district 4 Duval County?? We are Republicans, and our family has lived in Jacksonville for five generations. WE will support your campaign, but thought this might need to be clarified.
