The Northeast Florida Builders Association (NEFBA) announces Kimberly Hair, planning, grants and environmental administrator for the Jacksonville Aviation Authority (JAA), as the special guest speaker at the next NEFBA Commercial Council meeting. The event will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Aug. 11 at the NEFBA office located at 103 Century 21 Drive.

“This is a great opportunity for members of the builder community to hear from JAA about the exciting changes happening at the Cecil Field Spaceport,” said Daniel Davis, executive director of NEFBA. “We want to continually provide a forum for community leaders to speak to the members of the builder community about the local economy.”

During the event, Hair will discuss the master plan for the Cecil Field Spaceport, which is envisioned to be a space center for everyday people to experience the thrill of space exploration. The planned Jacksonville spaceport, along with the Kennedy Space Center facility in Titusville, Fla., would also provide training for sub-orbital spaceflights.
