Current Northeast Florida Builders Association (NEFBA) president, Michael Bourré, has embarked on the 2011 President’s Project with a focus on positive community development. This year’s project will involve NEFBA purchasing two distressed homes from the City of Jacksonville to remodel and put back on the market. Proceeds from the sales of the homes will benefit the continued growth and education initiatives of NEFBA.

NEFBA has an excellent history of providing outstanding projects for the community through its yearly President’s Project. This is an opportunity for the current NEFBA President to showcase a special project that provides an educational and charitable contribution to the Northeast Florida region. The project will be completed through the work of NEFBA’s Remodeler’s Council, which represents the interests of area remodelers and includes many of Northeast Florida’s most accomplished building and contracting professionals.

One of the two homes is located in the historic neighborhood of Springfield near the campus of Edward Waters College. The second home is in the Argyle community on the Westside of Jacksonville.  Bourré, the 2011 NEFBA president and president of Bourré Construction Group, will be spearheading the renovations.
