The annual Holiday Benefit Auction, held during the monthly NEFBA/SMC Breakfast, featured a wide range of donated items and provided numerous shopping opportunities for holiday gifts. The fun-filled event featured games and special prizes were awarded to those wearing the most outrageous holiday attire.

A portion of the auction proceeds will benefit the Monique Burr Foundation for Children, a nonprofit organization with a mission to give hope in the life of a child by providing its bullying and child abuse prevention programs throughout the state of Florida.

As in past years, individual members and companies also donated gifts for Daniel’s Christmas Wish List Collection and teddy bears to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. Daniel is a multi-service agency that assists children, adolescents and families.

“Community service has always been fundamental to NEFBA’s mission,” said NEFBA President Dennis Ginder, who is president of Landon Homes. “During the holiday season, it is especially important to remember the needs of children. It has been inspiring to see the philanthropic support demonstrated by our kindhearted members.”
