January 21st, 2018 · Leave a Comment

Jacksonville is a diverse city, but to become a more inclusive community requires effort, commitment and investment.

The University of North Florida is hosting an evening of small group discussions, exploring the multiple layers of diversity in the Jacksonville community and discussing individual responsibility to build a more inclusive community.

Activate Your Voice: Fostering Inclusive Civil Discourse in Jacksonville is the next installment of the OneJax Inclusion Series. The series is focusing on civil discourse as a key component for building a more inclusive community.

The program will be held on Thursday, Jan. 25, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., at the University of North Florida. The event is free and open to the public but tickets are required.

The event’s featured speakers are Florida Times-Union Editor Mary Kelli Palka and Rachael Tutwiler Fortune, Executive Vice President at the Jacksonville Public Education Fund.
