March 26th, 2013 · Leave a Comment

Prudential Network Realty has teamed up with attorney Emily Hicks to offer short sales and loss mitigation. Its professional team can assist buyers and sellers through the short sale process, obtaining the required lender documents, negotiating with the lender and overseeing the transaction to closing.

“Our goal is to provide homeowners who wish to sell their home through a short sale or buyers who are looking to purchase a short sale with all of their options,” said Prudential Network Realty Founder, President and CEO Linda H. Sherrer. “Our experienced, professional team offers the leadership and knowledge to help buyers and sellers through the process from start to finish.”

What is a short sale? Short sales are an option some homeowners use when the bank, credit union or other lenders they have borrowed from provide the option of selling the home to a third party at a price that is much lower than what they still owe on the note of their home loan. The short sales process is often used by homeowners who are trying to avoid foreclosure. The process can take longer than a traditional sale and is often accompanied by more paperwork, negotiation and bureaucracy.

Emily Hicks, a Florida-licensed attorney, has more than eight years of experience in the area of real estate law including the representation of both lenders and homeowners in residential short sales and foreclosures.

“A short sale is one type of real estate deal where you need patience as well as expert professional assistance,” said Christy Budnick, executive vice president of residential real estate, Prudential Network Realty. “Our team understands the complexities of short sales and how to successfully navigate this area of the real estate market to achieve positive results for both buyers and sellers.”
