CREW Jacksonville is hosting a Regional Economic Development Update on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017 at The River Club beginning at 11:15 a.m. The Northeast Florida region is comprised of seven unique and thriving counties, comprised of 1.5 million residents. They boast a diverse talent pool and economic base. The industries that are thriving in this region are advanced manufacturing, financial services, health and life sciences and logistics. Finding skilled talent is aided by the region’s 20 plus institutions of higher learning.

The regional partners will discuss how they work together, what makes their respective county unique, challenges they are facing and why the Northeast Florida region can be the best place for a business to relocate or expand.

Moderated by Cathy Chambers, senior vice president of strategy and business development, JAXUSA Partnership, the panel will include:

  • Brian Bergin, vice president, economic development, Putnam County Chamber of Commerce
  • Laura DiBella, executive director, Nassau County Economic Development Board
  • Bill Garrison, president, Clay County Economic Development Corporation
  • Melissa Glasgow, director, Economic Development, St. Johns County
