Rethreaded, a social enterprise that employs survivors of human trafficking in Jacksonville, Florida, is launching an awareness and building funding campaign during Human Trafficking Awareness Month this January.

The goal of this campaign is to finish raising funds for a brand new campus in historic Springfield. This campaign is titled “Never Say No” and the name reflects the dream to never say no to a survivor of human trafficking who is ready to start a new life. Rethreaded envisions this new campus becoming a forever home for the growing company.

The possibilities for this new building are endless. Currently, Rethreaded resides in a 2,800 square foot building. The new building is 36,000 square feet. The company will occupy 20,000 square feet of the property while renting out the other two buildings, providing the company with increased income to support its mission.

With the increased space, Rethreaded will eventually be able to hire at least 60 survivor employees at one time and increase available career tracks from five to sixteen; which include volunteer management, social work, and business development.

On Saturday, Jan. 23, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Rethreaded will be hosting socially-distanced tours of the Delores Barr Weaver Campus of Hope. During an hour-long tour, learn all about the incredible potential of Rethreaded’s new home. Sign up here.

Rethreaded will only accommodate individuals who sign up ahead of time to maintain safe social distancing protocols. All tour members must wear masks for the entirety of the tour.
