April 8th, 2014 · Leave a Comment

The work of Sisler Johnston Interior Design is showcased in the recently completed renovation of the oceanfront Beach House at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club. The project included refreshments to 16 oversized guest rooms and four guest suites including new luxurious carpeting, wall colors, bed coverings, window treatments, framed art, lamps and upholstery.

“The renovation brings a renewed and luxurious ambiance to the Beach House at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club, and is in keeping with the resort’s exceptional service,” said Judith Sisler Johnston, president of Sisler Johnston Interior Design and allied member, ASID. “All of the selected fabrics and carpets meet the highest quality standards for luxury and sustainability, consistent with the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club’s commitment to renew and protect the earth’s precious resources.”

For the project, Sisler Johnston selected a jeweled color palette of dazzling blue (recently announced as Pantone’s color of spring 2014), aqua and emerald against a warm neutral background of soft sand and camel. The guest rooms have been painted pastel aqua and the windows are dressed with stationary drapery panels on walnut stained wooden rods. The bed coverings feature complementary patterned, custom bed skirts, Euro pillows and neck rolls. The original framed artwork by acclaimed artist and landscape photographer Ted Johnston showcases relaxing coastal landscapes. Enhancements to the building’s exterior include decorative balustrades and handrails and walkways in natural stone pavers.

The Beach House is one of 10 Florida-style buildings offering guest accommodations at the luxury resort. Sisler Johnston’s work has been showcased in numerous interior design projects at the resort including a previous interior design makeover at the Beach House in 2007. The firm has designed or redesigned numerous oceanfront or oceanside buildings at the resort since 1986.

“I have had the pleasure of working with the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club for more than 25 years and I applaud its management for remaining very proactive about refreshing the resort and maintaining its Five-Diamond Award status,” Sisler Johnston said.

The prestigious AAA Five-Diamond designation is the American Automobile Association’s highest rating for hotels and restaurants, and awarded to those that provide luxurious surroundings and deliver a superior level of guest services. Less than a quarter of one percent of lodging and restaurant establishments hold the AAA Five-Diamond designation.
