Sisler Johnston Interior Design Completes Redesign of Lakeside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

September 30th, 2014 · Leave a Comment

The renovation of Lakeside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center showcases the work of Sisler Johnston Interior Design. The Jacksonville interior design firm provided the interior design documents for the renovation of the facility’s front entry and reception area, conference room, administrative offices, resident dining room, private dining room, resident game room, and a new Bistro area and nursing station.

“Lakeside is a premier locally owned nursing and rehabilitation center that provides state-of-the-art services and world-class care,” said Judith Sisler Johnston, president of Sisler Johnston Interior Design and allied member, American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). “The community’s owner, Health Care Managers, invested in an extensive renovation and added numerous enhancements to create a beautiful environment for the residents and their families to enjoy.”

For the Lakeside renovation, Sisler Johnston selected luxury wood plank vinyl flooring in a teak finish and inset a custom-bordered and patterned carpet to look like an elegant area rug in the reception area. The firm also provided all new furnishings and window treatments for the renovated resident areas. All of the furnishings, materials and finish selections meet the highest commercial standards while offering colors, patterns and textures that reflect residential design and warmth.

As part of the renovation, a fireplace was added as a focal point in the Bistro. Sisler Johnston Interior Design selected authentic stacked stone in sage, gold and russet hues. The Bistro area includes a refreshment bar with dessert and cold drink display towers. Stacked stone accent walls were added to the reception and corridor areas. New hand rails and protective wall coverings in a teak wood finish form a handsome wainscot throughout the renovated areas. Stained wood beams were added to the ceilings of the reception and dining areas to provide warmth. The dining room makeover included new dining chairs, table linens and framed art. The resident game room furnishings include new lounge chairs to watch the big screen television and game tables and chairs for tabletop activities. New decorative lighting was included throughout the center.

Lakeside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is located at 11411 Armsdale Road in Jacksonville. Its owner, Health Care Managers, is also the owner and developer of the Palms at Ponte Vedra, anticipated to open in March 2015.
