Builders Care, the charitable arm of the Northeast Florida Builders Association (NEFBA), recently presented the keys to a completely restored, furnished and decorated home to Wilmar and Ariel Xavier and their two children. The design team included Judith Sisler Johnston and Darlene Linge of Sisler Johnston Interior Design, faithful supporters of the not-for-profit community-based construction organization.

“Through the support of Builders Care, the Xavier family has been able to realize the American dream of homeownership,” said Sisler Johnston, president of Sisler Johnston Interior Design, allied member, ASID and a Builders Care executive board member.

Wilmar Xavier is a student in the NEFBA apprenticeship program and has served as a volunteer on other Builders Care projects.

The home, which is located in North Jacksonville, was donated to Builders Care. Volunteers performed extensive renovations including a new roof, air conditioning and electrical systems. Taylor Morrison donated furnishings and Sisler Johnston Interior Design donated furnishings and home décor items. One of the volunteers that assisted with the project is a previous Builders Care recipient, Patricia Hattan.
