Are you ready for the “Great American Solar Eclipse?” On Monday, Aug. 21, a solar eclipse will cut across the entire United States. At approximately 2:48 p.m., observers in Jacksonville will see a partial solar eclipse, where the moon covers part of the sun’s disk.
Join University of North Florida Physics students and faculty for a free viewing party. The UNF faculty will answer questions and provide a limited supply of viewing glasses.
The event will take place from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 21, at the Coxwell Amphitheater, Building 58, at UNF. For more information, call (904) 620-2192.
