Construction is officially underway at the Arlington Toyota dealership at 10939 Atlantic Blvd.

Stellar, a firm providing award-winning construction management at-risk, design-build and general contracting services for a range of commercial and public sector markets, is renovating and expanding the dealership to accommodate continued business growth. Crews broke ground on the $10.7 million project on February 3, and construction is expected to be completed by August 2021.

Stellar will build a new 59,187-square-foot showroom/shop building, renovate the existing showroom/shop and collision center, and expand the dealership’s parking lot. Another 10,893 square feet are being added to the existing buildings. Stellar partnered with R. Wulbern Architect PA for the design.

Stellar demolished an existing 52,000-square-foot retail center at the southwest corner of the property to construct the new parking lot, which will add approximately 250 more parking spaces for the business.

The Stellar team will also coordinate with the owner’s other vendors — such as the automobile mechanic equipment provider, sign company, cabinetry contractor, lighting supplier and others — to ensure the overall project remains on schedule. Stellar has experience designing, building and renovating nearly a dozen automotive dealerships across the First Coast.
