As reported in a recent Florida Times-Union article, Jacksonville is ranked No. 47 in a listing of the top 50 cities in the United States to host business meetings and conventions.

“It signifies that Jacksonville is being seen by more people as a meeting destination,” said Katie Mitura, director of marketing and communication at Visit Jacksonville, the city’s tourism bureau. “They’re considering taking the opportunity to explore it further and send us leads and send us potential business for our hotels to take a look at and give us the opportunity to sell these meetings to meeting planners and professionals.”
