The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of North Florida (CFF) has hired Jim McCarthy as executive director for the organization. McCarthy has more than 30 years of experience in management, business development, fundraising, public relations and government affairs. As executive director, he will lead the organization’s efforts devoted to controlling and curing cystic fibrosis (CF) through fundraising and awareness in North Florida.

CarbuX Car Wash Grand Opening Event Raises $5,000 For The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation North Florida

THE PLAYERS Championship Hosts Celebrity Shootout

THE PLAYERS Championship hosted a Celebrity Shootout this morning at THE PLAYERS Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass. The competition took place on the famous 17th hole where each local celebrity had two chances to hit the green, and the player who was closest to the pin receive a $5,000 donation to the charity of his or her choice. The shot was 137 yards, and the pin position will mimiced that of Sunday’s final-round at THE PLAYERS.

Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Gears Up for Northeast Florida Great Strides Walks

Spring is in the air, and this is the time of year when Cystic Fibrosis Foundation chapters across the country take millions of steps during the Great Strides walks to cure the genetic disease. In Northeast Florida, five Great Strides walks will take place throughout April and May, offering a variety of locations to participate and raise money in support of CFF research.
