JAX Chamber – New Approach to Lead Northeast Florida into a Prosperous Era

The Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce has launched a new, organized approach to lead Northeast Florida to greater economic prosperity. The organization is implementing dynamic programs, a stronger and unified image and the redesign of its building downtown. The unified image includes a consistent message and appearance throughout the Chamber as well as the new name, JAX Chamber, and corresponding logos.

Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce to Host Informational Meeting for March Trip to Spain

If you have ever wanted to visit Spain, the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce has a trip for you. The Chamber is hosting a week-long trip to Barcelona and Madrid from March 10 to 17. The trip is open to everyone interested in exploring the country and the Chamber is inviting the public to attend an informational meeting from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 20, in the Florida Room at the Jacksonville Marriott Southpoint, located at 4670 Salisbury Road.

JWBC and English Solutions Hosting Federal Contracting Forum on Aug. 24

The Jacksonville Women’s Business Center (JWBC) and English Solutions Inc. are co-hosting a Federal Contracting Forum on Wednesday, Aug. 24, to share federal contracting opportunities available to all business owners, including the process and strategy to obtain contracts, and the Small Business Administration’s Women’s Procurement Program, also known as the 8(m) contracting program. The forum is designed to assist local businesses with securing more federal contracts and encourage further business and job growth in Northeast Florida.

Downtown and Arlington Councils Host Public Policy Forum

Florida Sen. John Thrasher and Audrey Moran, co-chair of Mayor Alvin Brown’s transition team, spoke at the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce’s first Public Policy Executive Overview earlier this week. The Downtown and Arlington Councils welcomed more than 75 local business leaders to the forum, which examined state and local budget process.

Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce, Business Leaders Attend Air Show in Paris, France

A delegation of Jacksonville business leaders, including representatives of the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce, its economic development arm, Cornerstone Regional Development Partnership, and the Jacksonville Aviation Authority (JAA) showcased Northeast Florida at the 49th International Paris Air Show, promoting future job growth and business development in the region. A team of eight business leaders, including Chamber Chair Hugh Greene, Chair-elect Tom Van Berkel and Jacksonville Aviation Authority CEO Steve Grossman, met with 16 prospective companies and four new companies looking at Northeast Florida.
