The 2011 Spring Primary Election Results

The results from yesterday’s Duval county primary elections for mayor, sheriff and city council are starting to shape up.  Here is a recap based on the latest reports by The Florida Times-Union and Jacksonville.com :

The following candidates will move on to the May 17 general election:

  • Mayor
    • Mike Hogan
    • Alvin Brown
  • Tax Collector
    • Michael Corrigan
    • Dick Kravitz
  • City Council District 1
    • Clay Yarborough
    • Lindsey Brock
  • City Council District 6
    • Jack Webb
    • Mike Schellenberg
  • City Council District 13
    • William “Bill” Guilliford
  • City Council District 14
    • Jill Dame
    • Jim Love
  • City Council At-Large Group 1
    • David Taylor
    • Kimberly Davis
  • City Council At-Large Group 4
    • Jim Robinson
    • Greg Anderson
  • City Council At-Large Group 5
    • Donald Foy
    • Robin Lumb

Winners were also announced in last night’s results signaling they had received more than 50 percent of the vote. The winners include:

  • Sheriff – John Rutherford
  • Property Appraiser – Jim Overton
  • City Council District 2 – Bill Bishop
  • City Council District 3 – Richard Clark
  • City Council District 4 – Don Redman
  • City Council District 5 – Lori Boyer
  • City Council District 7 – Dr. Johnny Gaffney
  • City Council District 8 – Denise Lee
  • City Council District 9 – Warren Jones
  • City Council District 10 – Reggie Brown
  • City Council District 11 – Ray Holt
  • City Council District 12 – Doyle Carter
  • City Council At-Large Group 2 – John Crescimbeni
  • City Council At-Large Group 3 – Stephen Joost
