The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Announces Plaid Party as Title Sponsor of the Annual Sixty-Five Roses Golf Classic

October 3rd, 2013 · Leave a Comment

The 14th annual Sixty-Five Roses Golf Classic, to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF), will be held on Friday, Oct. 18, at the Jacksonville Golf & Country Club, with The Plaid Party as the new title sponsor. The day’s events include a golf competition and clubhouse reception with live music and silent and live auctions. The event will also feature “Taste of Jacksonville” pop-up food stations throughout the tournament with samples from some of the city’s finest dining establishments – a concept that was a big hit at previous Sixty-Five Roses events.

The tournament begins with a shotgun start at 1 p.m., followed by an awards reception at 6 p.m. There will an after-party with hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, a live auction and live entertainment. The silent auction, which features travel packages, sports memorabilia, jewelry, artwork and tickets to various sporting events, will be open for bidding throughout the reception. A foursome is $1,600 and sponsorships are available.

The Sixty-Five Roses Classic is so named because “sixty-five roses” is what some young patients call their disease because it is easier to pronounce than cystic fibrosis. This year’s title sponsor, the Plaid Party, has an annual party to benefit CFF that is held during THE PLAYERS. The CFF North Florida office is seeking additional sponsors to help offset the costs of the tournament.

For more information about sponsorship or for tickets to the event, contact CFF North Florida Development Director Jolie Patricia Sester at [email protected] or (904) 733-3560.
