More than 250 active duty, retired and Reserve military along with veterans attended the first-ever Military Job Fair at THE PLAYERS Championship on Monday. The job fair was free to participants and featured both local companies with hiring opportunities and local educational institutions with veteran programs, career counseling and resume-review assistance.

Participating companies included Acosta Sales and Marketing, Bank of America, BAE Systems, The Brumos Companies, the City of Jacksonville, CSX, Deustsche Bank, Incepture, PGA TOUR, Saft America, Vystar and many others.

Several local colleges, including Florida State College at Jacksonville and the University of North Florida, were also on-hand at the event to offer guidance and assistance to veterans.

Attendees at the event had the opportunity to visit with representatives from each company to discuss job opportunities and their experience serving in the military. They also enjoyed a free lunch thanks to sponsor Chick-fil-A.
