The Sixty-Five Roses Golf & Tennis Classic Celebrates 12 Years in the Fight Against Cystic Fibrosis

October 24th, 2011 · Leave a Comment

Celebrating its 12th year, the Sixty-Five Roses Golf & Tennis Classic is one of the most anticipated events in Northeast Florida, as well as one of the most successful fundraisers for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. “Sixty-Five Roses” is what some children with cystic fibrosis (CF) call their disease because the words are much easier for them to pronounce.

The 2011 golf tournament will take place on Saturday, Nov. 5 at Jacksonville Golf & Country Club and the Women’s Doubles tennis tournament will follow on Monday, Nov. 7. Lunch and a participant gift will be provided for both tournaments. Following the golf tournament, participants and guests will be invited to join the awards reception and after-party for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and live entertainment at the country club. A silent auction will be open for bidding during the reception, featuring travel packages, sports memorabilia, jewelry, tickets to various sporting events and artwork. The tennis champions will be celebrated directly following the tournament on Monday.

Interested in playing? Golf foursomes are $1,600. Individual registration for the tennis tournament is $100, which includes entry to the awards reception on Saturday night. Non-participant tickets to the golf awards reception are available for $50. Registration and more information can be found online at http://nfl.cff.org/65roses.
