The Urban Land Institute North Florida District Council Announces Incoming Leadership Team

The Urban Land Institute (ULI) North Florida announced the leadership team that will help guide the organization for the next two years. Tarik Bateh, Patrick Johnson and Allison Davies were chosen by their peers to serve as District Council Chair, Chair for Mission Advancement and Treasurer respectively. The new leadership team will serve in these roles from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2021.

Tarik Bateh, senior vice president with JLL Capital Markets, will serve as District Council Chair. He will oversee the organization and provide strategic direction on its initiatives and activities. Bateh has been actively involved with the Urban Land Institute for more than 15 years at both the national and local levels, serving on ULI’s national Commercial & Retail Development Council, as Chair for Mission Advancement and as a Board member for ULI North Florida.

At JLL, Bateh is responsible for investment sales, debt and equity placement, and advisory projects throughout Florida and nationally. A member of the Florida Bar Association and a Licensed Florida Real Estate Broker, Bateh has been named as a “40 Under 40” leader by the Jacksonville Business Journal and Member of the Year by ULI North Florida. He is an active volunteer in the community including serving as a mentor to students in the University of Florida’s graduate real estate program and Washington & Lee University’s Commerce School, as well as serving on the Finance Council for Assumption Catholic Church. Bateh earned both a Juris Doctor, cum laude, and a Master of Science in Business Administration – Real Estate, from the University of Florida, as well as a Bachelor of Science with Special Attainments in Commerce from Washington and Lee University.

Patrick Johnson, vice president of financial services for Regency Centers, will serve as the new Chair of Mission Advancement. In this role he will be responsible for ensuring that ULI North Florida initiatives and programs align with the mission and objectives of ULI National. Johnson has been an active member of ULI serving on the national Small-Scale Development Council and as Chair of the local UrbanPlan Committee for more than five years.

Johnson is a member of Leadership Jacksonville’s Class of 2019 and an active member of United Way, having formerly served as Regency Center’s National United Way Campaign Chair. Johnson earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from the University of Kentucky and received an MBA, with a concentration in finance, from the University of North Florida.

Allison Davies, director of real estate accounting at Regency Centers, has been named as the organization’s Treasurer. She is a member of the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) following her graduation from the inaugural Women’s Leadership Development Institute in 2015. She is the past Chair of WLI and also serves as a volunteer and committee member for ULI’s UrbanPlan program in local schools.

At Regency Centers, Davies directs a staff of 60 in various areas of accounting including Property Accounting, Development Accounting, Fixed Assets, and Tenant & Recovery Services. She is a CPA licensed in the state of Florida and is a member of both the American and Florida Institutes of Certified Public Accountants as well as the International Council of Shopping Centers. She obtained her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Accounting at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
