TrailMark homebuyers

D.R. Horton homebuyers Krista Cook and Kevin Upthegrove and their children, Emma and Owen, enjoy their new home at TrailMark

TrailMark, one of the most admired new communities in northern St. Johns County, is quickly coming to life. Nearly 40 families have moved into or will soon call the master-planned community located near World Golf Village home.

“We are thrilled to welcome our first ‘TrailBlazers’ to TrailMark and look forward to our new residents creating many wonderful memories in their new homes,” said GreenPointe Communities Vice President of Land Development Chris Kuhn.

From Boomers, who want to fill their days and nights with new experiences, to Millennials, who want to provide their families with the best lives possible, TrailMark exceeds all expectations.  Homebuyers love the community’s convenience to Interstate 95, offering quick access to St. Augustine and Jacksonville and its location within the St. Johns County School District. They are also drawn to the community’s home designs, park-like setting, variety of trails and green spaces.

TrailMark’s builders offer single-family, one- and two-story homes to fit the lifestyle of today’s homebuyers. The community has three furnished model homes available to view – two by Jacksonville-based Landon Homes and one by D.R. Horton. Both builders have several Quick Move-in homes under construction with homes priced from the mid-$200,000s and up.

Landon Homes’ front porch style is showcased at TrailMark

“Our Traditional Neighborhood Design homes have really sparked quite a bit of interest to those buyers who are looking to downsize in yard space as well as in the square footage of their home,” said Landon Homes Sales Consultant Troy Jewell. “Buyers feel like they can take a step back in time and enjoy the large front porch, relaxed style of living. This front porch style of home has added a unique look and feel to TrailMark.”

Healthier communities make for healthier residents, and the community’s location along Six Mile Creek and its preserved, authentic and natural surroundings have significant appeal to buyers who embrace a lust for life.  D.R. Horton homebuyers Krista Cook and Kevin Upthegrove and their children, Emma and Owen, recently moved into their new home. The family, along with their cat, Sugar, relocated to Northeast Florida from Chicago and looked at many communities before purchasing a home at TrailMark.

“With two young children, we wanted to move to a community, not just a subdivision,” Cook said. “We love the surroundings, landscaping and sense of tranquility at TrailMark. We wanted to live in a neighborhood where our children can play outside, explore and ride their bikes. From the moment we arrived, we felt good vibes. We knew we had found the new home and community we wanted.”

Cook also appreciates TrailMark’s relaxed, friendly atmosphere and the community’s nature-inspired amenities.

TrailMark’s amenities

Opening this summer, TrailMark’s amenities have been carefully planned and thoughtfully designed to enhance the community experience. Framed by the breathtaking oak hammocks of the central park and a large central lake, the Welcome House, Amenity Center and Camp House will be destinations that provide a social connection in the heart of the community. The lakes, winding waterways, biking and walking trails encourage residents to find adventure in everyday living.

Residents will enjoy spending evenings with friends and neighbors at the lakefront Camp House, breaking a sweat in the state-of-the-art fitness studio and afterwards, cooling down in the lagoon-style pool. TrailMark will also include a mixture of sports courts and play fields. Plans are already underway for completion of the trail system and a kayak launch along scenic Six Mile Creek leading to the St. Johns River.

Along with welcoming new homeowners, TrailMark is growing into three new neighborhoods and expanding its home builder offerings this year. The second phase of landscaping and pocket park expansion will follow, and the St. Johns County School District is building a new elementary school adjacent to TrailMark.
