ULI and NEFBA Present Design, Profits and Community: How Developers Think

July 30th, 2018 · Leave a Comment

ULI North Florida and NEFBA present Design, Profits and Community: How Developers Think. The event is Aug. 15, at the UNF Student Union and Boathouse.

The keynote speaker is Peter Hendee Brown, licensed Architect, Urban Development Consultant and Lecturer from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota. Brown is the author of How Real Estate Developers Think. Brown will share his thoughts on the interests, motives, and actions of real estate developers, using case studies to show how the basic principles of development remain the same everywhere even as practices vary based on climate, local culture, and geography.

Understanding what developers do and why helps community members, elected officials, and others participate more productively in the development process in their communities. Brown’s book will be available for purchase.

Registration opens at 4:30 p.m. The program is scheduled to start at 5:15 p.m. and followed by a reception at 6:30 p.m.

The cost to attend is $50 for ULI & NEFBA Members (NEFBA Members email Michelle Glass for code to register as member), $75 for non-members. To register, click here.
